King of the Pitch is a 1v1 soccer tournament and entertainment brand I co-founded to spotlight creativity and flair in American youth soccer. Built in response to frustrations with the U.S. national team’s lack of individuality, the brand positioned itself as a stage for raw talent and expressive play. I led the full creative direction, from brand identity and positioning to marketing strategy, content creation, and social distribution. Inspired by early 2000s football culture like Nike’s Joga Bonito, FIFA Street, and urban futsal vibes, the brand delivered an identity and experience that felt rebellious, cinematic, and culturally charged.
Our launch combined a cinematic trailer, nostalgic digital posters, and dynamic social content to build immediate attention. Highlights and challenges were cut into fast-paced, shareable edits optimized for social feeds, while reusable motion graphics kept the content system consistent. The result was a brand that broke through the typical youth soccer mold, establishing an entertainment-first model that blended competition with culture and gave players and audiences something entirely new to rally around.
